Thursday 3 November, a group of commercial attachés of Dutch embassies around the world visited Health Hub Roden. The visit was part of a day long fact-finding mission through the North of the Netherlands. The success of Health Hub Roden and Quantified Self Institute seemed to make a positive impact on the visitors, who among others, were informed on both initiatives by Programme Manager Henk Hindriks.

Commercial attachés from embassies in among others France, Finland and South Korea opted to visit the North of the Netherlands and gather information on investment opportunities. After visiting ASTRON (Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy) in Dwingeloo they were welcomed in Roden by Director of Operations Health Hub Roden, Peter Boonstra.

Henk Brin20161103_134900-2k, deputy of the Province of Drenthe, gave a passionate presentation about business opportunities in this Nothern province. Due to time limitations, in a very brief time span, the visitors were informed by Henk Hindriks about all research, education and networking activities that take place at both Health Hub Roden and QSI. The afternoon was completed with presentations by local businesses. Especially the success of innovating together in a public-private setup impressed the attachés.
